I've been an Apartments fan since I picked up a vinyl copy of their debut LP The Evening Visits at a Spring Hill Fair sometime like 1989.I had heard of them before this but had never seen a record of theirs. It became my favorite album, it blew me away those vocals, the acoustic arrangements and the other world beauty.
I followed Peters career, bought all the albums and was very fortunate to see him play with Amanda Brown at that spring livid all those years ago.
After Peter disappeared/retired
I didn't expect to ever see the Apartments play. I was more than excited when they reformed and got to see them play all 3 times they have played here in Brisbane, every time fantastic.I relate to the great rush of adrenalin you refer to and I too was there to here Ed do "Too many clues" that night and after so 20 years its still a killer song.
I also are most thankful for Peters brave decision to return to the public arena, I know he's not even sure if its been the right decision, but from my point of view I'm glad he did, even if it ends without anything more,
But I would die for another album.
ciao bobbob nebehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17723885868356225757noreply@blogger.com
